|MUS 131 - Music in School & Society|
An introduction to the historical, sociological, political, and philosophical foundations of general education and music education in the United States. Local, state, and federal legislation and policies applicable to P-12 schools will be discussed. A field experience may be required. Restricted to music education majors or permission of department required. Prerequisite: MUS 101 with a "C" or better.
